Mend Sylvania SRT2232S Remote Television Fix

How can I fix my sylvania srt2232s, v50210919 tv?

My television works fine, I can turn it own with the power button on the tv, but it does not work with the remote. I first thought the remote was bad so I ordered another remote from the manufacturer and still it does not work. I also tried universal remotes and they do not work.
