Sylvania 6632LG LCD TV won't turn on?

Looks like I just joined the club but I guess I am the lucky one in that my TV has lasted about five years. Again I trusted the name SYLVANIA as it used to be a great company in the 60s.

Off to a store to get a new one.

I have a 32 inch Sylvania and won't stay on. Sometimes I sit there 15 minutes pressing the on button. It eventually comes on but what a pain in the neck. This is a piece of junk and I warn everyone to not purchase anything with this brand name. I will never ever purchase anything from this company, they are very arrogant when you call them. They basically told me, its my problem seeing how the tv is over a year old..

Biggest piece of shit tv I've ever owned. On a good night, the crap box might turn on after fifteen attempts, otherwise it just turns back to red after flashing green for ten seconds.

FYI the old american company called sylvania does not exist anymore. a japanese company called FUNAI actually bought the name to put on the cheap TVs they manufacture for sale to U.S.A. consumers - many who "trust" the brand name.

I had the same problem with a Sylvania 32 inch... wont turn on after 4 months... I called, email, faxed, talked, sent to repairs. Nothing could fix this thing up, since the part was not sold. After numerous faxes, emails and calls. I received a full refund, so my tip is.. if its under 1 year since bought, hang in there and call them every two days. They sent a check and I kept the TV

P.S.
It does turn on after a week or so of being disconected.

Im having the same problem but mine is a 32" LCD with DVD combo. Mine is 1yr 2m old and I just took it to the TV repair guy today who said that it is probably the circuit board connected to the LCD screen and that slyvania doesnt sell the circuit board separate from the screen, so the part costs a crap load and its best just to buy a new tv. they got us coming and going.

Wont ever purchase one of their tv's ever again. or any other product by them

Same here. Only it goes green for like 2 seconds and then back to red. WHAT THE HELL!!!!
