How can I fix my television?

Push the up and down volume button on the set at the same time and this will go off. Push again and the demo comes on.

have a grundig lcd dvd set and on sun the picture size altered automatically to a smaller size, after that i have had problems with the settings menu flashing constantly on the screen every couple of seconds. Trying to access the settings are a hit and miss because it keeps flashing, but have turned it off left it for a 30min and turned it on and it works fine giving me time to access menu changed to factory settings but once its on after about 40-60 min the flashing menu appears and wont turn off. even took batteries out of handset but menu keeps flashing. Sound and picture appears ok but colour bit dark... can this be fixed set warranty ran out in March. This set cost me nearly £300 would have expected it to last longer than a 1year. bought it from Tesco's.
