help,the banging never ends?

hi,my washer bangs really loud like other peoples,i took a few coins out of mine,however noise still there,do you think if i leave top of and then spin ,maybe we`ll see something,ar`nt there meant to be some spring between couter wieght? just replaced belt because it was chewed up abit and off the drum......thnx m

probably a problem with the damping system - shock absorbers at the bottom of the machine which are meant to minimize oscillations. Theyr'e either sliding types or a sprung friction pad system. Probably worn out and needing replaced.
