Hoover 1200 New wave - All Lights Flashing !!!!!?

Hi there - hope you guys can help !

I have a 1200 new wave, when mid cycle, all functions stop and all LED's on front panel flash on and off.

If I power down , wait then power up, I can select a spin and clear the machine.

Water is draining but I thought I did hear it get loauder...

I took off the top, looked inside, put the top on again and tried again - this time water immediatly came out of the soap drawer.

Any help would be great !
