Mend Ariston AF 250 Dishwasher Pump Timer

How can I fix my dishwasher?

I have a AF 250 Ariston Advantage Dishwasher, the timer does not go round and when i turn the timer nothing happens just the sound of the pump working. also there seams to be no water entering the machine. what ever programme i place the timer on nothing happens, only the sound of the motor/pump. I placed some water inside the machine and it pumped that away. Any ideas ?????????

My Ariston had the same symptoms.
I took it out. Tipped it backwards. Made a flood.

Put it back and all is fixed!

your diswasher has overfilled and put the fllod pump on try tipping it back then try it again (watch out for some wate if its overfilled)
