Why won't my camera work on msn?

I had a webcam for x mas, its a mikomi m6217. I've installed everything then I go on msn and put in the webcam, but nothing happens the light doesn't come on but the microphone in it works fine what the hell is wrong with it??? or is it just my computer???

i,ve got same model but with me pic fine but i have a sound problem test sound wizzard ok i can hear my voice but when i go on line they cant hear me for you click on start all programs press on amcap devices click and tick where it says usb tick both places.also try programs sma rtcam click on vidiomonitor check settings hope it works marc. e/b sx.
