Mend Veritas R8 Initial Power Up Working

initial power up on r8 not working?

i have just installed a veritas 8 with remote keypad on initial power up when battery is connected the keypads zone 1 lights no set or unset light appears and system beeps 9 times the engineer codes do not work. appreciate some help?
