alarm goes off during night . no intruders?

alarm system accenta/optima G3 intruder system.
Alarm goes off in the night for no reason.
Can anyone tell me why. Quite old model, perhaps
I need a battery change.

Need more info to give an informed answer! Was the alarm set or under when it activated. What led lights were showing on the panel or keypad. Something will have been displayed! When was battery last checked/changed?
