I do voluntary work for a charity and we have wrist alarms which no longer work. When the button is pressed a red light does flash but no audible sound occurs with our intruder/panic system. It's a Scantronic 04901UK-60 MPT 1340 (that's what is on the label on the back). Someone else has taken them to see if the battery can be replaced without success, they look like sealed units to me. Does anyone have any suggestions on whether these can be fixed or do replacements need to be purchased.

Ok,guys,I have always been instructed to discard these transmitters.(company policies).At work today I managed to get hold of a DXS-63 315 MHz field coded for a Linear DXSR-1504. Discarded for said reasons,and was successful changing the cell.just goes to show experience is everything in this industry.So thanks,I've learned something new :)

No Name, This is why WE, Acorn, GTS, Alarm and myself are the best, No such thing as non-replaceble, I would do what GTS has done, Im also a Scantronic registered installer, and the Scantronic Tech team are not all they are cracked up to be, Sorry guy's, The guy's are there for people with limited Scantronic experience,

i beg to differ,i have replaced the battery in these units,but then am an elec tronic engineer by trade ,and a registered installer for scantronic ,it not mattter what the manual say
