My PLT 3043ye trimmer starts ok and runs for about 10 minutes then dies. If I pump the fuel bubble it will start again but only runs for a minute. Fuel / carby problem I guess.
Mine did the same and I found that the fuel feed pipe (which runs into the tank for about an inch and has the fuel filter attached to the end) had broken just inside the tank. The bits of pipe were rattling around in there. I replaced the pipes and it runs well again

Thanks,good comment. I have now made sure the tank vent is clear and run the grass trimmer again. Same result. I actually tried running it without the tank cap which has the vent in it. Same result.
