Hi i have A hotpiont wmf760 when i start a cycle i need to jolt the whole machine to get it to turn the drum i have had a look at the motor but cannot find any brushes it has two thin wires going to an enclosed metal casing at the back
Washing machines, dishwashers and tumble dryers have electro magnetic motors or inertia driven by electro magnetic power fuels source electric current.
Your best bet is to contact hotpoint but don't expect a solution that easy as it could be lose connection somewhere in the circuit is you have to 'kick start it'.
They may want to a circuit test to rule in or out a lose connection/switch toggle etc.
