and there is no wiring diagram, every company wires it up in their own colours

what to do is remove the door contacs one by one and short the swtch wires if the system then sets replace that door contact ,you haven't gotten a new door by any chance ?

gts thanks for your answer zone 7 on my Veritas 8 alarm covers 3 internal doors i have tried magnets on the doors and i now want to check the wiring in the alarm box but i cannot obtain a wiring diagram
