Mend Veritas Beeping Set

beeping?

We have a Veritas alarm system in a house we recently moved in to. When we set the alarm there is a beeping noise which I hoped was just for a few minutes after we leave the house but my neighbour informs me that it is beeping all day. All doors and windows are always closed. Any ideas?
