how do i replace the elements in a 4 slice dualit toaster?

i have bought a second hand 4 slice dualit toaster and new elements but there is only 2 originals fitted. what is the normal layout

Go to the Dualit website and download the user manual - it has full instructions and pictures.

Make sure the spares you have are original and not a cheapo aftermarket fake. Dualit will supply you all the spare parts you need directly.
