Bad smell coming from Bosch Classixx 1200?

Did you get this fixed - I am having the same problem I think. The tumble drier is just under the boiler and had the National Grid gas people out twice now - for a gas leak and British Gas out twice to check the boiler. They can find nothing.
The tumble drier is 4.5 years old.

Our Bosch condenser tumble dryer is doing the same. It stinks, so much so we thought we had a gas leak and called the emergancy gas number. Engineers turned up, killed all the electrics and tested the whole house with their sniffers. They agreed that it did smell of gas but couldn't actually detect any. Lots of crawling around later and we found the smell coming from the machine. We stopped using the tumble dryer for the next couple of months (Moving house). We then called Boshe out to investigate the smell this weekend but they could not find fault (tested the tumbler with a wet t-towel. We put a full load in yesterday and smell has come back with a vengeance.

We called Bosch again who say they will charge us if they can't find a fault....

....It stinks

oh and yes we do actually wash the clothes before drying them ;)

When it happened to me the smell was coming from the house drains but others on here suggest it might be a combination of low temperature washes and biological detergents allowing bugs to flourish and grow in the machine.

I would check the drains first and then and run a couple of very hot washes to kill off any lurking bugs - I might even drop in a bit of household bleach on the first hot wash and use the second to flush it clean.
