Heat surge fireplace?

My heat surge fireplace quit blowing warm air. It made a popping noise and then blew cold air. We had it plugged into strip and have found out you are not suppose to do that. Looked on Internet and several people had the same situation and they said the fuse went out. Can you give me steps on how too change fuse?
