Trouble shooting Heat Surge M6?

Hello. When I turn my Heat Surge on it beeps. This is to let you know that you are getting power to the unit. When I turn the heat on it does nothing. Then will shut off and beep 12 times. I called a local parts supply place and was told to check to see if the fan motor was ok. This is the first thing that should come on. Hmmm how do I check the fan motor. I ohmed it out and it seemed fine. Then I disconnected the wires and plugged 110 volts to the leads and the fan motor came on. Great step 1. Next step am I getting power through the circuit board to the fan motor. This is harder to figure out so I made a jumper and checked to see where the power was going. The tilt switch was fine. The reset button was ok. The thermocouple was ok. The thermal fuse atop the heater was ok. It's looking more and more like the circuit board is bad. I called 3 places and they told me the same thing I came up with. The cheapest circuit board I found online is $64. A local one is $99. Hmmm I'm going to take the chance and order one. Hope this helps someone.
