Mend E&R KPN400 Sewing Machine Model Bobbin

How can I fix my E&R Classic Sewing Machine, Model KPN400?\\|Z\ ?

The needle does not pick up the bobbin thread. I have experimented with changing the tension. Changed the thread on both reels. Then changed the bobbin. Cleaned the machine, including where the bobbin sits. Lightly oiled the mechanism, where I could, with machine oil. The needle makes a receptor for the bobbin thread but the bobbin thread goes nowhere near the pick up point. I will be very grateful for any help.

Hello Nina,
Sounds like the machine may need retiming which on that model will need to taken into the shop.
