hotpoint wm62 door lock staying locked?

my hotpoint wm 62 completes a wash cycle but the door lock will not release on completion - any suggestions on how to remedy this problem

UNPLUG THE MACHINE..... remove the lid and look on the right hand side near the front top corner for a round component that as a clear hose connected unclip the component and replace it dont try to use the washer with out it
