How to fix Hoover washing machine?

I put a load of washing into my machine and shut the door, switched it on, picked a cycle and then pressed the start/pause button. And nothing happened. So I pressed it again and again incase it was on pause, still nothing happening. usually works perfectly never had issues before. The electrics are working because the lights are on, checked plug, fuses, circuit board, it doesn't start a cycle and lock the door. Please can anyone help me with what to do?
