have a Panasonic 1700 lightweight MCE3001 cleaner
It keeps cutting out when in use sometimes after a minute sometimes after five. If i leave it a while it will restart-Could it be over heating? and if so what to do

It could be overheating if the filter(s) are blocked. Try cleaning/replacing the. I had the same problem with an MCE-4003.
