How to fit a belt to a Panasonic MCUL 862?

I have the cover off the vacuum cleaner but there are 2 metal spindles does the belt go over just the closest one or stretch to the back?

I've done it! Just located the manual. The belt fits over the motor shaft which is the one at the rear of the carpet/bare floor selector shaft.
