Mend Simpson Esprit 750 Washing Water Set

how can i fix my simpson esprit 750 washing machine?

The machine keeps filling with water after it reaches the set level and the water is flooding over the floor. Is this something I can fix myself?

Simpson Simpson Esprit 750 Household Appliances, Washing Machines Washing Water Set

Start filling the machine. While water is flowing in press start/pause button and water should stop immediately. If water still flows in with machine stopped try turning tap off and then back on. If water has now stopped flowing in then it means the inlet valve is faulty & will have to be replaced.
