Mend Sharp Aquos Television Screen Remote

widescreen televisions?

Our sharp aquos tv has a black rectangle box that comes up on the screen when first turned on. if you change channels of push any button on the remote the box temporarily goes away . what might be the cause of this and how could I fix it?
