No picture on brand new Mikomi CRT televison?

I have a brand new Mikomi P1471 crt television, I purchased it around 18 months ago in the uk and have since emigrated. I have gone to use the television for the first time but when I switch it on I just get a solid green screen with solid horizontal lines, I am unable to access the menu or even tune the set. The remote is able to put the set on standby and open the dvd drawer, however when i insert a disc there is still no picture or any option etc. Any ideas what may be causing this?

Have you moved out of Region? ie this is a PAL tv and as such will only work in a PAL Region(UK,Ireland and one or two others) so if you have moved somewhere that is on NTSC you will not be able to use it as a TV without somhow modulating the signal. As for the DVD player this can be unlocked(apparently!) and used as a Region free player.
