Mend Toshiba DR20DT Dvd Recorder Timer

My toshiba dvd recorder stops recording at midnight, what can i do?

My 'brand new' toshiba DR20DT dvd recorder stops recording at midnight when in the timer record mode. The clock is set correctly and i have re-tuned it several times. What is the problem?
