ef sign & unable to set the alarm?

My alarm has a EF sign on it & I cannot set the alarm ?what should I do ?

Care to confirm this.
Try a walk test and see what zone comes up,as zone one may not be the exit zone.

if its a scantronic,then you have a faulty door contact,as ef stands for exit fault,or it could be a faulty pir if that is what is used as a timer trip
