Keypad dislodged from the housing setting off the tamper alarm?

Hi my keypad became dislodged from the housing, on carefully fitting it back on the tamper sensor was set off. I keyed in reset which stopped the alarm going off but the tamber light remains on and I am unable to set the alarm on the upstairs box (to part set).How do I get the tamper light off.
