Mend Dell D620 Clicking Dvd Player

Clicking DVD player?

I have a Dell Latitude D620 laptop computer. I hear a clicking noise when I start up the computer. It sounds like it is coming from the DVD player. It stops shortly after the computer is completely powered up.
Can this be repaired?
