My Philips tv model 28PW6515/05 keeps switching itself off?

My television keeps switching itself off , the red power light at the front remains on , but the screen is blank like it has been turned off.Whilst it is in this mode i can hear a clicking noise as if it is going to come back , sometimes it will come back on on its own.I had the same problem 11 months ago and it righted itself on its own. I have not fitted any new equipment to the the tv , it is currently connected to a standard vcr , sky and dvd player
