Mend Galaxy G2000 Motor Pump Brushes

Galaxy P. Shower G2000 motor whines, flow stops?

Shower runs briefly, then motor whines, flow stops, small amount of water with carbon in it flows from casing. I carefully examined motor, it appears to be 'sticking' and there is quite a lot of carbon powder from the brushes on the inside of casing. Have read about cut off valves, etc. but feel the motor is the key problem.

It may be time to replace the shower.
In theory the motor brushes can be replaced after cleaning out all the carbon debris but its a messy job that I wouldnt advise doing.
