Mend Yard Machines 430 Tecumseh Engine Spark

lawn mower does not get a spark?

I have a Yard Machines lawn mower model # 430 with a Tecumseh engine 139 cc. I first tried a new spark plug and still nothing. So I did a spark test just using a screw driver and there was no arc. I think there is something inside thats not working. I am pretty good with car engines but never really messed with these little ones. is it difficult to take off the top and get to the problem inside?
