How do I tighten the drive cable on a yard machine snow blower?

Thanks Johnny, I opened it up and see that the spring is no longer connected to the arm that activates the self proplulsion. It looks like the spring is broken. How do I fix it? Can I re-thread it or do I have to cut the cable to replace the spring?

the cable can be adjusted on some models by a small nut and thread on the cable almost where it enters the frame other wise remove the cover ( plastic most likley) infront of the engine it covers the drive belt and auger belt then check the tension on both or it may be broken they also have springs on the belt pulleys to keep it tight most pulleys have a bolt that goes thru them loosen it and make the belt tight with about a 1/4 inch or so of play test the machine before replacing the cover and oh ya you can also test it after the cover is first removed before you attempt to adjust any thing
