Two things can cause this. If the water valve does not shut off when the power to it is removed when the correct level is reached. Secondly if the water level pressure switch does not work. Check the valve first. Start filling the water then press pause and the water should stop flowing straight away. Try it several times. If water carries on running in when you press pause then the water valve is faulty & needs replacing. The level switch is part of the PCB controller & is electronic so you can't test yourself. All you can do is make sure the air tube going from the side of the plastic outer bowl is still attached and is not obstructed in any way. Also make sure it has no holes or perished parts on it which will allow the air to escape.
