Mend AEG 56800 Stopped Lights Going

aeg lavatherm 56800 not working?

My appliance suddenly stopped working with all display lights going out ; I took off the top of the machine, did not observe any problems & so put it back together. The machine then worked again for a few seconds & then died again! Any ideas. All fuses etc are ok
