What do I do if I think my KITCHENAID dishwasher door switch is faulty?

It has an electronic panel and when I press the "buttons" nothing happens. Once when it did this before, an electrician stuck a screwdriver in the door latch opening and it lit up the panel and he simply bent the latch-thing that goes in the hole so it made contact. I tried to do the same thing this time and nothing happens.

Hello,

You can disconnect the dishwasher and take off the inner panel of the door to access the door switch. If this is not your problem you may have a broken thermal fuse that would also cause this dead condition.
