You, like me and other users, probably lost the video while changing the settings. I almost knew it was a video problem because the audio was playing. For your information, I thought I had a CH-300 as stated on the front nameplate. I finally looked at the bottom of the unit and discovered I had a CH-DVD 300Z, manufactured Jan' 2005.
I played with the remote until I got a split image using the green video output. Of course, you don't have to do this. The characters on the screen were not exactly clear but 3 clicks with the right arrow got me to what looked like "SYSTEM", then enter, 4 clicks with the down arrow to what appearred to be "LOAD FACTORY RESETS", then enter. And WOW, I had video! The images in the manual are different from what were displayed on the screen....... that is why I couldn't get it to work by clicking arrows in the blind.
So, what worked for me was, using the remote press: STOP, SETUP, 3 clicks with right arrow, ENTER, 4 clicks with down arrow, ENTER. And WOW, you should have video!
