Mend Bosch Dryer Filter Flashing

BOSCH CLASSIXX TUMBLE DRYER FILTER PROBLEM?

Anyone able to tell me why the dryer keeps stopping and the filter light starts flashing even thoghh the filter is clean. I have taken out the filter and there is nothing blocking it underneath either.

Thanks

i had the same issue with the filter light and despite cleaning the entire machine inside it still happened. After a while of wondering and almost calling out a technician (£60 to arrive at my door) i decided to remove the back plate. This requires either a correctly sized allen key or a small plat head screw driver (note some screws maybe tight so spray with WD40). once the screws were removed i saw the issue fluff from the fan had gathered over time and clogged the intake fan for the heat element. i cleaned that and its perfect now.

I hv same problem with all of you. Had done 1st underneath grey cover as some one told, it was totally solved the problem, no more light on! But unfortunately, it came back after a month. Then I did 2nd time to clean out again but not more sticky dirt fluff, only clean up the warm water.
Until today I come back here to ask is anyone know how to cure it!
HELP!!!!

listened to everyone, read the blogs, all to no avail so devised my own solution.
we have a newish bosch tumble dryer which crashed every five minutes with the filter clean warning cut out so i took out the front fluff filter, got my very powerful leaf blowing machine and directed it down the hole for a minute or two...!!
it's never happened again...!!

Does anyone know how to take out the panel behind the hinged panel at the bottom left of the machine. A couple of people have referenced this but no one has said how they gain access. Thanks

The Bosch engineer that came to fix my machine said it was fabric conditioner sticking to the inside sensor of the dryer!! Crazy!! And it didn't fix the problem Even after he advised me to scour/scrub the inside! Now waiting for second engineer to come as the filter light still
Flashing! So annoying!

Thank you, it works! I took the second filter out and picked out as much grott as I could. Put it back and bingo! No more filter warning light and constant stopping.

I have the same problem as Pete B 2009. I have opened the panel on the left at the bottom but cannot figure out how to remove grey panel. I have also vacuumed underneath where the removable filter is inserted but this made no difference. help!

Just to confirm that the fix recommended above worked exactly as described:
Removed left panel and the hatch under the filter, scoped our copious amounts of goo with plastic spoon, newspaper, and kitchen cloth. Put everything back and dryer works fine. No more filter warning light every 5 minutes! :)

Thank you!

We also had same problem with a Bosch WTW84560GB model, but this has the water pump located in the bottom of the machine, just behind the left hand side panel. It's quite easy to take the panel off to gain access.
If you then slide the condenser cartridge out, you can the see a small removable cover just inside the unit, which can be removed by using a small screwdriver to flick the two retaining clips open. Once removed, it reveals a sump where the condensed water is pumped from.
The bottom inch of this sump was full of sticky/sludgy stuff and causing the filter light to stay on. After using half a roll of kitchen towel to absorb/mop this cavity out, we returned the dryer back to operation and the problem was solved.

Yep - fluf in the bottom filter. Clean it out with anything that's not hard - ear buds, cardboard, vacuum etc NOT metal, plastic as this can dammage the soft metal of the filter.

Hi, i have had the same problem as you guys, the filter lamp just lights up all the time. I have tried to clean the first filter and the "second" filter( the filter box you can gain access to by opening the lid situated just above the water container). That did not help, but i was sure that i was on to something. My thought was that there is some kind of sensor, that picks up how much humidity there is left in the clothing. This seems logical, and i guess this true. But i just couldnt seem to find out where the clog was. Then i discovered that if you take out the "second" filter (the filterbox mentioned earlier), there is a compartment underneath this filter. The compartment seems to be a kind of buffer for the watercontainer( By the way, pull out the water container to get a better look of where this containment is). In this compartment there was loads of sticky fluff, this fluff clogged the valve to the water container. So i used a cloth to clean out all the water, and made sure i got all the fluff out of there. I also used a q-tip to clean the exit point of the valve(the end that goes inn to the water container).

That seemed to do the trick ! Im guessing that there is some kind of sensor in that compartment, and when the water container is full, the compartment (buffer) fills up and triggers a sensor:)

Let me know if it resolved your problems. That way we can find out if this is a problem that occurs often.

Same problem. I also removed the long filter that's set into the bottom lefthand panel. Can't take it apart, so I cut a 12" long strip of stiff cardboard, 3" wide and slipped it down each one of the open vents. A great deal of wet, tangled lint -- mush, really, came out. Have set it back in, unclogged, and it seems to have done the trick. May blow it out with a hairdryer next time.

Maybe the hosing is too tight against the wall (behind the drier)?

Have checked mine, the dryer filter was clean, yet the wire mesh at the end of the ventilation duct on the outside wall of the utility room was clogged with wet fluff, pulled it out, gave it a good clean and put it back on, so far so good. I guess the machine senses that clothes drying is not happening (not enough air enetring/exiting the machine) hence asks for the filter to be cleaned.

Eureka. We had the same problem.

I am guessing that the filter light comes on when the machine detects that the flow of air is reduced. So there are 3 options.
1) the filter is dirty (I washed it as mentioned above).
2) there is too much fluff that has dropped down underneath the filter area. I have removed the left hand front panel (the one without the vent) - it opens out from the top (with hinges at the bottom). However I haven't worked out how to remove the grey panel behind it which would make it easy to clean inside the machine. (Any advice please post here). Otherwise just reach inside with the filter out, and remove what you can.
3) The outlet hole / tubing / wall vent are partially blocked. (The manual mentions checking the outlet vent.) Take then apart and clean them as best you can (I used a fluffy 'duster on stick' of around the right diameter.)

Now it's working OK. Good luck.
