Mend Bosch Classixx Dryer Clothes Appear

My Bosch Classixx Condenser Tumble Dryer is not getting hot?

The clothes are not getting dry, they are as wet as when I first put clothes into dryer. There doesn't appear to be any heat.
I regurlarly keep the heat exchanger free from wet fluff and also empty the filter basket everytime I put a new load in.
The drum appears to be working and the timer.

Thank you very much! This is why I love the internet! Getting the back off and pushing the red button worked perfectly, and saved me lots of ££ - though finding a star allen key T20 was a bit of a pain - definitely don't try to do this without one - no hex allen key or anything else will work. But once again, thank you!!!

I had tried to take mine apart trying to find the heater element. I had seen the red button, and pressed it without realising this was the cause, and was looking online to find out how to take the machine apart, when I saw this site. Put it back together and now works fine. Thank you very much for the red button tip.

Our tumble dryer was showing no symptoms of being faulty other than not drying the clothes, we checked all the usual solutions, checking the cartridge unit in the bottom was not clogged up, for example. My wife was ready to go out and buy a new dryer when I came across this magic red button solution, all it cost was a cheap screwdriver set to get the right torx bit (T20) for getting the screws out of the back and 20 mins actually doing the job, press the button (small click) and now hot again, absolutely fantastic, many thanks.

The symptoms of my machine not working were a start-up clunk followed by two flashing lights and then nothing. This occurred after conducting all the advised routine maintenance. I followed the instructions below. A star "allen key" is essential and easily purchased from B&Q or Homebase ;do not attempt this job without one. On my machine there were 13 screws , 6 shortish ones at the top and 7 longer ones at the bottom holding the ear-like protruding back plate. I loosened all the screws first and then removed them. The back came off easily and was held inplace with two protruding plastic guides which help when putting it back on. The box with the little red button easily identifiable. I pressed the button with the end of the allen key whilst supporting the box with my other hand fairly hard. Personally I couldn't hear the click however I put it all together again and hey-presto it worked. Many thanks to Griff and others on this posting, the fix works.

my tumble dryer is producing a lot of condensate from condensate collector tray, and causing the kitchen to heavily steam up.
i don't think this should be the case as it should collect all the condesate in the tray
Anyone with any ideas what this could be?

The drum was stuck and would not go round. I have freed it up but it still does not turn the clothes round and it is getting hot at the back.

Great, this was helpful (couldn't find anything elsewhere) and hopefully should make the dryer last a bit longer.

I also tried pouring hot water into a funnel into the top of the black draining pipe to the water container (once I'd detached it) which seeemd to clear the blockage and get the water draining back into the container again.

Top Advice Griff. We were about to give up on the machine and buy a replacement. Followed your instructions and machine back to new. Great help, thanks.

Hi
Am flat broke and the thought of paying for an engineer is a nightmare; my Bosch Classixx has three red lights coming on when I press the start button and a beeping noise, does anyone know what I should do next. Ive done everything it says in the manual

Message for Griff
I have carried out the instructions you gave regarding the red switch to reset it.
the little red button didn't really move at all and there was a very faint click if at all.
Put it all back together hoping for the best but no luck.
The empty container light still flashes.
Have you any more ideas or can the black switch with the red button be replaced or is it time for a new machine?
I'm trying to avoid the call out charge for an engineer but maybe this is inevitable. I would rather put the money towards a new machine.
But surely there nothing wrong with this machine that cannot be fixed??
Anyone got any ideas or is it a trip to Currys??

Griff - I owe you. Found the switch and got one over on The Man. I will name the dryer after you. Absolutely stone broke and you've saved me at least £100. The revolution starts here.

Thanks very much. We were going to by a new machine, but I followed your instructions and now it works fine.

With the money you saved us I can get my wife the small flat screen tv for the kitchen that she wants.

Right. My machine was not getting hot and the 'empty container' light kept coming on even when the container was empty.

Firstly unplug the machine from the mains electrical supply.
Look at the back of the machine. If there's no obvious button to press them you need to remove the large metal cover in the middle.
Remove the 12 star drive screws and gently lever the cover off using a flat head screwdriver. 4 of the screws at the bottom have a black sealant on them ignore this and just remove the cover.
Once the cover is removed you will see in front of you a square metal box approximately 6 inches square held on by 2 screws at the top. On the top left of this box you will see 2 greyish wires connected to a small black plastic electrical connector. On the back of this connector there is a tiny red button. Push this gently (it hardly moves) and you will hear a faint 'click'. You have now reset the trip switch.

Take the opportunity whilst the cover is off to remove and fluff etc with the vacuum cleaner and replace the cover and screws.

It should be working normally now.
Congratulations you've just saved yourself over a hundred pounds in repair and call out fees.

Neither is mine but I do not have a switch at the back which is really annoying as the call out for a bosch engineer is extortionate! Any other ideas?

My Bosch Tumble Dryer stopped getting hot as well. I have just pulled the dryer out and pressed the red circle on the back and it now works. I can now cancel my engineer call-out. Thank-you everyone.

My dryer stopped working too but by pushing my finger into the red rubber circle at the back of the dryer, which I presume is the switch that people have mentioned, my dryer is working again!

Had the same problem and really pushing the switch at the back to the point of breaking the rubber seal has rectified it!

The switch is on the back of the machine (in the middle) you have to really press it in.
I've discovered that I need to keep pressing the switch in to get any heat.
thanks anyway for your reply.

I am having a similar issue with my tuble dryer - as it was under warranty called the repair centre - there is sometimes a cut off switch on washer dryers that turns the heat off if the filter becomes blocked. It has just done it again - but can I find the switch!!!

This machine is no good at all as it no longer dries your clothes. This means that it is broken. You must replace it with one that works, then your clothes will dry.
