Mend Maytag MED24E73-F Unit Stays Turn

wall heat/air unit only stays cold about 5 minutes?

unit is a Maytag. model #med24e73-f... I turn on the air, it blows very cold and then 3 to 5 minutes it quits. The unit won't come back on by itself. I made sure the filter was clean.
