my sky + wont turn on?

the sky+ unit wont turn on...............ie..the red light stays on........no green...........can hear unit trying to fire up but nothing happens

its a lost cause, the box will more than likely never switch on, time for a new box and sadly you will lose all the stuff on the hard drive. sorry
