Ford Cargo 0811 gauges?

I have some gauge issues in my Cargo. My speedo seems to work when it feels like it and at the moment hasn't worked for a week or so. The rev counter is also tempramental and has recently stopped again. My fuel gauge works but is always showing lower than it should (not a problem for short journeys but on longer journeys and I never know when I am near the bottom of the tank. My temperature gauge does not appear to work at all. I have been told by my mechanic that the temp gauge is probably working but that Cargo's run really cold? He said I need to go to a tacho centre to sort out my speedo. He also said that I would have to live with the other gauges as there are no spares for these vehicles, because of their age (senders etc. are not available). I desperately need the speedo and the temperature gauge working and the fuel gauge being more accurate and the rev counter working would be a bonus. Does anybody have any thoughts?

New sensor solved the problem. The needle moves 2 marks along the gauge and sits there, even on long journeys.

Also, after getting the gauge working it suddenly went right to hot and straight off the gauge! Along with the fuel gauge. On looking, I found a small unit on the back of the fuel gauge that had come loose. It had an earth wire between it and the fuel gauge. On tightening, the earth was secured and all back to normal.

the problem with the speedo could be the fuse, try fuse number 15 which is tacho fuse. my cargo also has faulty oil pressure and temp gauges. the temp problem is the sender as we bypassed the wires to check the gauge and the needle went up fine. oil pressure moves when engine revved. not really an issue as we know the oil warning lamp works.

My cargo temp gauge never moves at all ethier. The oil gauge also seems to be very inconsistent. Does anyone know if this is a regular problem with cargos and when should i start to worry with the oil gauge.

Solved the rev counter issue. The wiring loom had rested against the manifold and had melted burning through two wires. Both went to the alternator. After re-wiring the rev counter now works, not sure what the other was but it is now connected also. I plan to change the fuel sender and the temp sender.

First the temp in my cargo never moves and i know it works but carg`s run cold, you could try checking were the wires from the chassie meet the wires from the cab to make sure they are connected ok, fuel gauge you could try a sender unit, try ebay for one. there are lots of parts still easy to get you just need to try some truck part dealers.
