Mend Miele G646 SC plus Dishwasher Repair

need to fix Miele dishwasher?

My G646 SC plus is flashing the inlet/drain red light at me. I have cleaned out all the filters and bits inside but it is still flashing and won't start. Does anyone know what else i can try? Thanks

I had the same problem. Turned out to be a perished seal on the main pump which was allowing water to leak into the drip tray under the machine which in turn caused the water leak protection microswitch to trip. If you have water in the drip tray under the machine, then you have a leak. Parts for mine from Miele cost about £60

I have the same problem on the same model. The machine wouldn't empty to begin with. emptied it manually then checked filters, drain pump and non-return valve. Even took the drain connection pipework apart and no blockage but "inlet/Drain" warning light wont reset.

dose any water get into it at all?

is the water pressur good(not the flow the actual pressure)
these need very good pressure.
all the light is for is to tell you it cannot sense any water intake.
the only other thing is if the fill valve itself has gone, in which case you would need a new valve.
