Mend Washing Machine Noise Spin Cycle

Noisy washing machine?

Very loud noise on spin cycle. Then on emptying one missing babies sock. Tried to turn empty drum by hand, no noise but very stiff and hard to turn. Could the sock be stuck and caused noise and drum to stick on turning? many thanks

Drum should spin freely.sock could be stuck down front between the stainless steel inner drum and the front rubber door gasket.have a look with a torch in this area and you might see it and be able to remove it
