how do i remove personal antivirus?

To KLG Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. This solution worked ! I even got through to the Company responisible for this rouge program. They gave me a set of instructions to delete it....Guess what that DID not work. So Yes... Safe mode...Restore to previous known safe date. IT WORKED. Thanks again KLG

go into safe mode (hit F8 as your computer boots up) and do a system restore to an earlier date (go to START, then ALL PROGRAMS> ACCESSORIES> SYSTEM TOOLS> SYSTEM RESTORE)

Use autoruns to stop it starting at boot time, then use your existing anti-virus program to scan your PC. It will then be able to remove it.
