Mend Toshiba RD-XV45KB Problem Switch 10

Toshiba RD-XV45KB HDD/DVD/VIDEO RECORDER Problem?

When I switch it on the motor runs for 10 seconds then stops. I have tried the reset button on the fron but still the same problem. Switches on runs for 10 seconds then dies.?????Reg
