washing machine will not spin?

i have a ge washing machine model wjrr4170 that drains but will not spin or aggitate. need some help with trouble shooting

It could even be as simple as drive belt has come off

Take back off machine and have a butchers

Either a wire loose or termial block has come off motor.
Or, more likely if machine is a few years old, Carbon brushes have worn out on motor.
