What is wrong with my GWL 11 washing machine?

The other user faults that go with the rippling sound are:- 1 Water temperature light or lights blinking --Not enough water coming in.
2. High water level light blinking - Overloaded. Too many clothes or a heavy blanket.
3. Fast spin light blinking - washing out of balance.

Ok the rippling sound is for user faults that the user can check & usually fix themselves. In your case the blinking hot & cold lights give the clue. It is saying it is not getting any water or not flowing in fast enough. Check both taps are fully open if doing a warm or hot wash. Cold wash only needs cold tap fully open. Also remove hose from inlet valve on machine, point end of hose into sink & open tap. You should have a good strong flow. Next check the filter inside the opening of the valve before putting hose back on. Then try a wash cycle & see if the water flows in quickly. On this model you can open the lid & watch. If it is only dribbling in & sounds like it is straining (hissing sound) then you need a new inlet valve. If it is now flowing in fast then problem solved.

What sort of error sound are you getting. Is it a single beep at 1 second interval or is it a rippling musical sound like you get when the power is switched on at wall? Once I know this I can help you.

Who can say?

You do not indicate what the machine does that it should not do or what it does not do that it should do...

Does it wash clothes? Does it fill with water?

A washing machine needs water to operate. No water - no wash.
