How can I fix my Pfaff 1471?

A faint chirping sound is coming from the area where you begin run the thread into the machine. Does this sewing maching need to be oiled, perhaps?

I would definitely think so, I would oil all the moving parts lightly with WD40 that you can see before part of the machine seizes up and starts costing you a lot of money for repair.
